⸻ 1857
"Parisians need to breathe fresh air, be entertained and have fun".
In 1857, the innovative and creative Empress Eugénie de Montijo imported a Swiss wooden chalet for the island of the new Bois de Boulogne and its lake. For her, the wood, the trees, the island and this charming chalet are at the antipodes of rigid and stilted conventions. Our aim is to perpetuate the spirit of the Empress of modernity.

Reinterpret the original chalet with this natural, low-carbon material: Larch.
A Chalet in its island also means the respect of the land, a new vision and design of the gardens and terraces with a vegetable garden as their epicenter, a different approach of cooking with a special focus on seasonal and local supplies. We have been working for 3 years with architect Nicolas Laisné to build this new project.
